  Dreadful experience from start to finish. The only thing that was nice was the wine. The chairs are uncomfortable. They refused to make me a straight Martini because it wasn't on the drinks menu . The daily special starter of Scallops Gruyere were overcooked and bland in a sloppy watery cheese sauce that looked awful and tasted of nothing. I had lobster linguine for main and the pasta was overcooked and the small amount of lobster meat was drowned in an overpowering tomato sauce and thus rendered completely tasteless. The shrimp in the dish were overcooked and were like rubber. £26.95 for a dish that should have been wonderful but was awful at best. My dining partner had baked cod which was also under seasoned and bland. The chairs are uncomfortable and the tiled floor and hard surfaces everywhere made it so loud it was almost impossible to hold a conversation across the table. Dinner for 2 cost £80 plus a bottle of wine at £25. A very disappointing experience. We wont ever go again.

  Great food, really tasty.
  Staff were friendly but not particularly well trained, made a few mistakes but nothing major.
  The chairs were awful though, the worst I've ever sat in. I really can't exaggerate how bad they are and I normally don't even notice the chairs a restaurant has. Made it very difficult to enjoy the rest of the evening.
  It's a shame as the food really was good.

  The quality of the food is high but it has a big price tag to go with it. Did enjoy the meal though.
